“I walked in close to closing time with a rusty, worn old car key... I was able to get a decode and spare straight away. The key fits like a glove. Reasonable prices and great service.”

If it's more than the battery
Two jobs the same bench handles when a battery doesn't fix it.
Car key replacement
Lost, worn or snapped keys cut and coded, including spares made from a working key.
Replace a keyTransponder chips
When the chip is the fault, we can replace the chip alone instead of selling you a whole new key.
Transponder workDrivers come in from Strathpine, North Lakes and the suburbs around the shop because the counter is quicker and cheaper than a call-out. The van covers the rest of the northside when the car can't come to us. See the key cutting counter while you're in.
Dead fob in your hand right now?
Call first and we'll confirm the battery is in stock, or just walk in during shop hours.

Common questions
How much does a car key battery replacement cost?
It depends on the battery your fob takes, but it's one of the cheapest jobs we do, and walking into the shop means no call-out fee. Call with your car's make and model and we'll give you the price before you leave home.
Can I replace a car key battery myself?
Often, yes, if you have the right battery and a careful hand. Where fobs get damaged is the shell clips and the circuit board. If you'd rather not risk it, the shop fits the battery in a few minutes.
I put in a new battery and the fob still doesn't work. Now what?
Bring it in. A dead fob after a fresh battery usually means worn contacts, a damaged shell, or a fault in the fob itself, and we'll tell you what we find.
Do you fix broken fob shells and buttons?
Yes. Worn buttons and cracked shells are an everyday job at the shop. Where a shell replacement will save the fob, that's what we'll suggest before talking about a new remote.
