What the counter cuts
If it opens something, bring it in.
House keys
Standard and security door keys cut from your original.
Car keys
Blades cut from a working key or decoded from the lock, with chips and remotes handled at the same bench.
Restricted keys
Duplicates for restricted systems, cut with proper authorisation from the system owner. No paperwork, no copy.
Padlocks and more
Padlock and cabinet keys. If it has a blank, odds are the wall has it.
When a locksmith's counter helps
Usually when the key is worn, chipped or restricted.
A locksmith's bench can decode a car key and stocks blanks many kiosks don't carry.
And because it's a locksmith counter, the person cutting your key can also tell you when the real problem is the lock, not the key. Sometimes a rekey is the better answer.

“I was quoted $40 to cut a key in other shop, I get it done here for $15.”
“Meet a professional person who knows what they're doing and leave within 10 minutes with exactly what was required.”
The counter is at Unit 19, 193-203 South Pine Road, Brendale QLD 4500
Open Mon to Thu 8am to 4:45pm, Fri to 4:30pm. Closed weekends. Most cuts done while you wait.
Not sure if your key can be copied?
Call and describe it, or just bring it in. If the counter can't cut it, you'll know in a minute, not after a wait.

Common questions
Can I get a key cut at Bunnings?
For a simple house key, yes, and for many people that's fine. What a kiosk can do with worn keys and car keys varies, so ask first. A locksmith's bench is for the keys a kiosk turns away.
How much does it cost to cut a key?
Standard cuts are the cheapest job in the shop. One reviewer was quoted $40 at another shop and paid $15 here. The price depends on the blank your key needs, so call with the details and we'll tell you before you come in.
My key is worn and barely works. Can you still copy it?
Often. Bring it in and we'll tell you at the counter whether it can be copied cleanly or whether the lock needs a look.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in during shop hours. Open Mon to Thu 8am to 4:45pm, Fri to 4:30pm. Most cutting jobs are done while you wait at the counter.
