Read moreWhy the workshop matters
The Brendale workshop is where the cutting and decoding gear lives.
Cutting and decoding gear lives on a bench, not in a toolbox. Walk-in jobs skip the call-out cost entirely, and when a job needs time, your car isn't stuck waiting on a van's schedule.
The RACQ lists the workshop as an approved repairer for locksmith work. When your car has to be towed somewhere with a key problem, it can be towed here.

“Just had a project car get a new barrel/ignition and keys cut. Super reasonable price and fast service. My car was ready within the hour.”
“If you need a new car key this place is the best option... Soooooo much cheaper than anywhere else and super quick too.”

Common questions
Can a locksmith replace my car key instead of the dealership?
Usually, yes. Dealers often order keys in and book you out days ahead. A locksmith with the cutting and coding gear can handle many cars at the shop or from the van. Call with your make, model and year and we'll tell you what's possible for your car.
What do I need to bring for a replacement car key?
Proof of ownership, some photo ID, and the car's details: make, model and year. If you still have a working key, bring it too. Spares from a working key are simpler and cheaper than starting from nothing.
Do you work on all makes and models?
Not every key type on every car. Some models need dealer-only parts and we'd rather say so upfront than have you wait for nothing. Call with your make, model and year and we'll confirm before you spend anything.
Ignition problems too, or just keys?
Barrel work is part of the job here: worn barrels rekeyed and keys cut to suit. A reviewer's project car got a new barrel, ignition and cut keys and was ready within the hour. Call first with your make and model so we can tell you what we can do.
